I have about 3000 of Khair trees(Acacia catechu) in M.P. in INDIA.I want to sell them.Can I sell them to someone or it is boundable to sell to government only ? What is procedure?

You can sell them to some local farmers, or any govt agencies like forest deptt or watershed development projects. It can only used commercially as it has not any other use like ornamental otherwise it could have disposed in urban areas for avenue plantations. If your nursery is not registered, it will be difficult to dispose it to outside of ur locality

Dear Mr. Rajendra,



You are free to sell the plants grown by you in your plot. But before selling you have get the permission for your area Forest Officer. Please contact him and submit your intention to cut and sell the trees. The Forest Officer then visit your place and verify the trees and calculate the approximate logs you can harvest and the weight.



Then he will issue a permit do cut down the trees. In turn you have to provide the copy of the permit to the person who will transport the logs to other place for check post purpose.
